Customer service at Shopify works a little differently than your typical customer service job. To start, we don’t require any previous customer service experience. Some of our current employees have worked as customer service representatives in the past, but others simply demonstrated great customer service skills during the interview process.

There are no scripts, either. We speak to our merchants like human beings in a friendly, conversational tone while providing support over the phone or via email and chat. We have customer service manager jobs based out of our Shopify Ottawa office, but ARE also looking for applicants who want to work a customer service job from home.

We have locations in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco, and Waterloo. We also work remotely in cities across the globe.
